Dr. Phytos Partners with Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats to Support Adults with Disabilities—and Their Dogs
Dr. Phytos is proud to announce its partnership with Pawfectly Delicious, a nonprofit based in Alexandria, Virginia that’s baking up more than healthy dog treats. They’re creating jobs, skills, and purpose for adults with disabilities.
Founded in 2017 by Executive Director Anne Tuccillo and her son Bryan, Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats was born from a desire to solve a serious problem: the lack of paid employment opportunities for adults with disabilities after aging out of school services. Today, the organization employs 11 adults in their 20s and 30s, offering meaningful work in baking, packaging, and selling all-natural ginger dog treats.
“What we do is make dog treats. Why we do it is to provide adults with disabilities meaningful employment opportunities,” said Tuccillo.
From rolling dough to packing bags and selling at community events, the Pawfectly Delicious team brings passion, skill, and joy to every step. And their impact reaches far beyond the bakery.
A Workplace That Nurtures the Whole Person
Pawfectly Delicious goes beyond job training. Through its Employee Wellness Initiative, team members participate in weekly activities such as nutrition counseling, chair yoga, music therapy, strength training, and professional development. The goal? To support the growth and well-being of each team member—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
